Thank you for letting us know you will not be able to make it to the meeting. Is everything okay? Can we help in some way? Need any prayer? Please let us know and we will help in any way that we can. You will be missed at this meeting, and we hope to see you at the next one.

On another note, you promised you would answer every lodge Summons sent to you, and you did! Being true to your word is a foundation whereon to build consistent daily improvement to becoming the man you want to be.

Answering this simple dinner RSVP may not seem like a big deal to you, but studies have shown that your brain processes every interaction with others to help it identify what you believe to be your own character as a man. If you gave this no thought whatsoever and it was no trouble to answer this request that you said you would answer, then your brain has already classified you as a man of your word and this action simply reconfirmed it for yourself.

However, if this was a pain in the neck for you to do, it bothered you to answer, and created any level of stress, that means that the person your brain believes you to be was not yet in alignment with your actions. That misalignment between who you believe yourself to be and the actions you are taking is a primary source of all stress in life.

Your choices are to continue doing things at the level you are now, or to begin developing the habits you know will help you to become the man you want to be, but don't yet do on a regular basis. After repeating and confirming these new high-character habits to yourself over and over enough times, your brain will adjust to your new standard.

Following through, even on the small things in life, reaffirms that you are in fact a good man, with unlimited potential to improve. Thank you taking part in this character building exercise. I look forward to seeing you confirm this character trait for yourself again next month.
